Remember that Jim Carey movie “Dumb and Dumber”?
He’s getting told “no” by his dream girl and he says…
“So you’re telling me there’s a chance?”
That’s exactly how you should respond when your ideal prospect says, “no” to your membership.
Why? Well, let me demonstrate.
Dave C. found me on the internet in June of last year. He signed up for a free resource and joined in my email list.
He joined one of my memberships and then for some reason, he canceled.
But not only did he cancel, he decided to opt-out of my emails.
He didn’t just say, ‘no’ he said “NO!”
But I knew Dave was my ideal prospect. I knew that there’s “still a chance” Dave just needs some time overcome whatever objections he may be facing.
That’s when Dave reached out to me.
NOTE: He reached out to me. I didn’t pester him, after all he opted out from my emails.
But he reached out to me. Asked for my help and became a VIP client paying (see the pic below.)
The lesson…
When your ideal prospect says, “No” you shouldn’t write them off.
There’s always an opportunity.
The key: they must be your ideal prospect.
Your ideal prospect has one of four responses to joining your membership:
1. YES!
2. No.
3. Not right now…
4. Maybe???
When your ideal prospect says, “no” what are you doing to help them overcome their objections and get their questions answered?
When your ideal prospect says, “no” that means, you just haven’t given them the right reason to join, answered their questions or they don’t have the confidence that they’ll get the outcome they desire.
Just like Dave.
It’s a great feeling to know you’ve helped your ideal prospect overcome their objections so that you can help them serve more people.
You’ve got this. Go make it happen.
