When it comes to getting more members, there’s a simple three point checklist that I use every time.
When all three are right, new member sign-ups just pour in.
Get it wrong and…
…well it’s because I didn’t run the checklist.
Here it is:
Let me break it down for you.
1- Present the right OUTCOME:
You have to paint a picture of the outcome that your prospective member desires. What can your membership do for them? How can it take them from where they are to where they desire to be?
It’s the very first thing you must do. If your prospective member wants better finances, healthier lifestyle, meaningful relationships, new skills…
You have to demonstrate that your membership will get them their desired outcome.
2- Make the right OFFER:
Now that you’ve demonstrated the outcome your membership program will provide you have to make them an offer to join your membership.
Most memberships only offer one way to sign up. It’s one membership, one offer.
Instead, what if you had multiple offers for people to join your membership. One offer may appeal to one prospective member and another offer may appeal to another prospective member.
When you have multiple offers you appeal to multiple prospective members.
3- Turn it into the best OPPORTUNITY:
This is where you bring it all together. You demonstrate your membership offer is the best opportunity for them to get their desired outcome.
One of the best ways to do this is through testimonials. Show how others have used their membership to get their outcome and it was all because of the opportunity you gave them.
You have to turn your membership into an opportunity.
Run this checklist and you’ll have a membership generator that you can use over and over again.
